Our bliss

After engaging an agent to help us in our search for a flat, we went through like 7 or 8 flats before shortlisting 2. So now its the battle of the 2... I liked both and my parents like the fully renovated one while haoren liked the other.. however the fully renovated house will need at least 25K in cash on 1st appt and totalling 228K~! Further this price is just for the renovation,not even the furniture not to mention legal fees, commission and other costs that goes up with the purchase price~ Where will we go and find such money? Even if we borrow from his dad, we will be debt ridden for our live man.. we will still need to buy furnishings. So y not we get the renovated-but-not-so-much house and spent the money deco it to our liking. and get our own furnishings. The total may not add up to 25K...

This is of course met with opposition from my mum and although she insisted that we cant pay more than 2K cash for a flat, her selective memory immediately came to effect when she saw the house that she like. So now it seems like I am the one who dun want to pay the cash. ~Sweatz~ Anyway, we decided not to get the flat she like so she is unhappy. What to do? We are not born with silver spoon and we din wan to slog ourselves for the house.... its better being realistic.. than to quarrel and go thru much unhappiness just becos of money... I am marrying Haoren, not Haoren-with-a-228K-house.. ;)
